Long Island Insurance Community Gives Back, Raises $250,000 for Charity at 27th Annual Gala Event

The 27th Annual Gala at The Mansion at Oyster Bay raised $250,000 to benefit United Way of Long Island, the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County, and Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, Inc.

At its core, insurance is a pillar of support for individuals and businesses and a fundamental priority for the Long Island Insurance Community (LIIC) to help those in need.

Over 300 guests attended the 27th Annual Gala at The Mansion at Oyster Bay, raising $250,000 to benefit United Way of Long Island, the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County, and Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, Inc. Since 1995, the LIIC has contributed more than $6 million to local nonprofit organizations.

The Annual Gala recognizes industry and business leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to the community that has improved the quality of life for their neighbors. This year’s honoree was William Misita, CPCU, Sr. Vice President, Philadelphia Insurance Companies.

“This award is not just a recognition of my individual efforts, it’s a testament to the collective dedication and hard work of the Long Island Insurance Community past, present, and future,” said William Misita.
