As an Insurance Specialist at Hotaling Insurance Services, Nayana “Nancy” Patel leverages her deep-rooted understanding of financial planning and insurance strategies to help business owners, individuals, and families achieve their financial goals. Specializing in commercial insurance and asset protection, Nancy is dedicated to creating tailored solutions that safeguard what her clients have worked hard to build.
Nancy’s foundation in the business world began at the young age of 12, working for her family’s hospitality business in Texas after emigrating from London, England. Growing up in a business-oriented household, she developed a profound respect for the value of money and the challenges faced by business owners. From managing operations to understanding financial cycles, her early experiences became the cornerstone of her professional ethos. This upbringing, coupled with her first-hand knowledge of the obstacles faced by entrepreneurs, particularly in the hospitality industry, has shaped her commitment to delivering comprehensive risk management solutions.
Nancy’s journey has also been marked by resilience and determination. Over twenty years ago, a tragic car accident left her paralyzed, challenging her physically and emotionally. Defying medical expectations, she not only overcame adversity but also channeled her experiences into a passion for helping others prepare for life’s uncertainties. Her personal challenges have reinforced her belief in the importance of financial planning and insurance as critical tools to navigate the unpredictable nature of life.
Nancy is not only a seasoned insurance professional but also a trailblazer and dedicated leader in her community. In 2007, she became the regional board director for the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), breaking barriers as the first woman from Georgia among 31 directors. Nancy also served as President of Leuva Patidar Samaj (LPS) of USA at the height of the COVID pandemic, where her leadership was instrumental in addressing challenges faced by the community during this difficult time. Further, she left a legacy in India by raising donations to establish 14 oxygen plants in hospitals across Gujarat, saving countless lives during the pandemic.
As a champion for women’s empowerment, Nancy helped create and led the Women’s Committee for Women Empowerment as chair under the Federation of Gujarat Associations of the USA (FOGA USA). Outside of work, Nancy is a devoted wife and mother of two, balancing her professional accomplishments with a fulfilling family life.
